Yep, it's that time of the year again. Time for the 2010 Arizona Daily Star Battle of the Bands. We're doing things differently this year. We will no longer accept CDs or e-mail submissions. Everything can be done here on this site. The rules have changed a bit, too, so make sure you read over all the information here very carefully before entering. The 2010 Battle of the Bands contest is open for all full-time high school students in metropolitan Tucson and Southern Arizona, ages 14-19. The allowed counties are Cochise, Pima and Santa Cruz. Finalists must agree to perform at both the warm-up show at Club Congress on Jan. 17, 2010 and Battle of the Bands concert at the Rialto Theatre on Feb. 19, 2010. Failure to perform in either will result in elimination. All entries must contain the birth date, high school and address of residence for each participating band member. Make sure you have all this information together for each member of your band before you begin the submission process. You will not be able to save your entry to complete later or edit your entry once it is submitted. All members must also submit signed permission slips from a parent or guardian, regardless of age. So let's get started. Enter your band now! »Signed permission slips for ALL BAND MEMBERS, regardless of age, must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Nov. 30, 2009 or the band will be disqualified from the competition. Return the forms to Arizona Daily Star, Attn: Jaynelle Ramon, 4850 S. Park Ave., Tucson, AZ 85714.
If you have any questions or technical issues submitting your entry, please contact Jaynelle Ramon at jramon@azstarnet.com or (520) 618-7805.
